Open Day at the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Base - Registration is open.
On Saturday December 7th, for the first time the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team will open the doors of its highly guarded base at the Molo Ichnusa of Cagliari to fans and sailing enthusiasts! During the base visit all participants will have the opportunity to test their ability as helmsman, grinder, trimmer or rigger, competing with the team’s sailors.REGISTRATION
The Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team base is where all the energy of the team will be concentrated for the its two and a half years of preparation to the Cup. This is where the tests and analyses will be conducted every single day, allowing the team to make decisions that will determine the performance of the boat. The crew goes out onto the water, the shore team provides technical assistance, the designers collect the data: each individual performs a specific role.
But what lies behind all of this project? Did you know that almost 120 people work at the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli headquarters?
During the Open Day the public will be able to visit the base, find out how the sailing team trains, learn more about the typical day of a sailor, and many more tidbits of their daily life "behind the scenes". Participants will also have the opportunity to test their ability as helmsmen, grinders, riggers or trimmers and explore the roles in an America's Cup team, accompanied by Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team members.
There are almost 800 openings for this date. At this LINK you can find the form to be filled out in all its parts to receive an entry accreditation.
