Stunning schooner Meteor latest to be welcomed to superyacht festival New-look Race Village will offer greater space to enjoy the festivities Returning and new partners get their own areas for relaxed meetings

With less than 50 days to go to the start of the 2019 Superyacht Cup Palma, final arrangements are falling into place as new arrivals continue to swell the impressive entry list.

The most recent yacht to join Europe's longest standing superyacht regatta is the stunning 51.5m schooner Meteor, returning to the event for the first time since 2007. Having scooped an unprecedented three 'Neptunes' at the 2008 World Superyacht Awards soon after her launch, Meteor will hold her own in an already extraordinary fleet.

Meanwhile a new-look Superyacht Cup Race Village in the heart of Palma will offer greater space for owners, their guests, skippers and crews to mix and enjoy the many events and parties laid-on during the four-day event.

The new village layout will also incorporate dedicated sponsor areas, providing the ideal opportunity for a relaxed meeting with representatives of many of the Superyacht Cup's partners, friends and suppliers.

Among those taking up the opportunity will be St. Regis, the SYC's preferred hotel partner and host of the exclusive Owners' Dinner at their stunning five-star Mardavall Mallorca Resort. Owners and their guests can look forward to a selection of courses highlighting the best of Mallorca's fresh local produce prepared by the hotel's Michelin Star chef.

Also with a presence on-site will be SYC destination partner 100% Pure New Zealand, who will be happy to lay out the premium tourism experience available to international marine travellers. Beautiful beaches, incredible fishing and diving, spectacular glaciers, picturesque fiords and subtropical forests, as well as a recognised superyacht destination for world-class refit and repair, New Zealand has a lot to offer.

More than that, 100% Pure New Zealand will also co-host the SYC's Welcome Cocktail Party on June 19 in conjunction with party sponsor DYT Yacht Transport, well known to the global yachting community.

Another concern with a premium brand on show in the village is BRABUS Marine, official supplier to SYC which will benefit from the availability of their highly exclusive tenders and day boats, not least the Shadow 500 which offers luxury and comfort alongside 'insane acceleration times and massive torque' courtesy of Mercury Marine's latest XS Pro V8 Four Stroke engines. The company is a cutting-edge alliance between award-winning Finnish boatbuilder Axopar Boats and high-performance luxury car producer BRABUS.

Palma-based RIB Club is another company taking space in the village, the private members' only club offering hassle-free access to RIBs at a variety of global destinations.

In addition, representatives from a number of other major SYC suppliers will also be available, including those from Gold Partner Baltic Yachts, and Silver Partners such as Pantaenius, Rondal, Evolution and Maffioli, as well as Marinepool who will display the new Superyacht Cup Palma clothing range.

Evolution will doubtless prove popular as they will be serving coffees in the morning, as will Baltic offering breakfast pastries, and not to forget 100% Pure New Zealand with their fruit snacks!

Later in the day post-racing refreshments will come courtesy of happy hours provided by Southern Spars, on June 20, and North Sails, on the 21.

The new and improved Superyacht Cup website contains full details of the regatta programme, along with all the need to know conditions and info.

The Superyacht Cup Palma runs from 19–22 June and the Notice of Race can be downloaded from the website at https://www.thesuperyachtcup.com/en/sailing-documents
