2019 505 Euro Cup Leg 2 - Riva del Garda
Considered one of the most popular stops on the Euro Cup tour, Riva del Garda will play host to the second leg of the 2019 series. 30th,31st May & 1st June 2019.
"Known for its spectacular scenery and reliable winds, Riva Del Garda is one of those venues every sailor needs to race at least once. The sailing is outstanding, the food fabulous, the scenery breathtaking, and families and friends love it," said Michael Quirk, Australian and Class President.
Despite being a Euro Cup event, 505 sailors from the United States, Australia and South Africa are making the trek this year. Australia particularly is well represented with at least eight teams so far committed.
"Many Australians, South Africans and North American 505 sailors now have boats based in Europe, so it is an easy choice to come over and enjoy one of the best sailing venues going," said Quirk.
This year in particular is attracting boats from outside of Europe as the Barcelona 505 Exposition will be held on the following weekend, allowing competitors, friends and family to visit two fantastic locations with top level competition on two consecutive weekends.
The racing kicks off in Riva del Garda on Thursday 30th May from 1:00pm, followed by racing on Friday 31st May and Saturday 1st June.
To register, 505 members can find registration and other details on the 505 International Class website.
