Today we are reporting from St Petersburg, Russia where we have just completed racing for day one. Four wins from five races in a field of twelve competitors has us in a reasonable position with six races remaining before the semi finalists are decided. We had a couple of interesting races to begin and end our day. Awakening to a cold miserable morning we set out on our 25min bushwalk to the sailing venue hoping to push on from yesterday’s solid effort and claim a spot in the much anticipated finals. Hello from Tallinn, Estonia, After three flights and over 30 hours of travel, we finally made it (the long way around) to Tallinn Estonia to kick off our first European regatta. This is the grade 3 Tallinn Open Match Race sailed in Blu Sail 24’s. We are staying in a hotel that was once the accommodation to many great sailors during the 1980 Olympic Games hosted by Russia.
