Francisco Lobato 1st Series boat in Funchal.

The Portuguese Francisco Lobato on ROFF TMN won the first leg of  The Charente-Maritime/Bahia transat 6.50 in series category, passing this Saturday in Madeira, the line at 14h48'03''  GMT.
He sailed over 1148 miles from La Charente-Maritime to Madeira in 6 days 2 hours 31 '03'' at the average speed of 7.84 knots.

Henry Paul "HP" Schipman (Maisons de l'avenir Urbatys) was second to cross the finish line in categoryProto. He arrived at 14 hours 57 minutes and thirteen seconds GMT.

His race time was 6 days, 2 hours, 40 minutes and 13 seconds or 2 hours, 18 minutes and 52 seconds behind the leader Bertrand "Beber" Delesne, at the average speed - over the 1 148 mile route - of 7.83 knots .
